Two steps forward, one back

Seems to be the way of my journey. I started out well with the fasted cardio, but after three days, my feet were being bothered. Even to the point of some ankle pain and limping and trouble with my feet at water aerobics Wednesday. So, I guess 20 minutes on the Nordic Track every morning is too much. The bad part being, with my feet not good, I had to skip my body weight workout on Tuesday. Ugh!

So, I need to either do a bit less, or find something that is less hard on my feet. Getting the balance right is tough. I may need to explore other options besides the Nordic Track. Perhaps bopping about to some music for a few minutes in the morning would work as well for getting my heart rate in that 60-75% zone.

Another slight downer was having to order yet another 2X sized swimsuit from Junonia yesterday. I've got about a month to go on the current suit, but having checked their size charts vs. a quick measurement of my waist/hips yesterday, it's pretty clear that I am not losing inches quite fast enough for a 1X to work in a month. It's a new style I'm trying, primarily because it costs less than the style I normally use! Hope it works out OK!

The good news is that I HAVE lost some inches on my waist/hips!
I'll do a full set of girth measures shortly.

Other GREAT news is that today, for the first time, I saw a sub-39% body fat reading on my Omron monitor. 38.6% to be exact!

Slow progress is still progress all the same!

  1. I think this is the way we all feel at times. 2 steps forward 1 back indeed.

Great results on the fat monitor! I always love seeing these little signs of progress.

Andrew is getting fit's last blog post..Mental note to self

  2. For me it's more like 2 steps forward, 3 steps back, 1 step forward, 2 steps back, 3 steps forward, 5 steps forward, 2 steps back...

As long as you are still going forward overall, and learning something when you take a step back you are doing great!

Lady G's last blog post..Why am I not getting results?

  3. I guess I just get frustrated from time to time. Things I want to do and my body just doesn't. And it makes me kind of feel like a wimp, having all these pains, ya know?

But I know what I need to do and that is to carry on as best as I can.
