Monday weigh-in
It's easy to be on schedule with your morning weigh-in when you've spent the entire night getting your very first blog live and ready for viewers! At least I HOPE it's ready. Well, you can tell me what you think!
Frankly, it felt quite weird getting on the scale when I haven't been to bed yet! My trusty Tanita scale gave me much different numbers for body fat and hydration than I'm used to seeing! I guess that is because when you sleep, fluids settle differently in your body and that can skew the scale's bio-electrical impedance readings some. At any rate, it made for a slightly higher hydration and lower body fat percentage than I normally see.
Yeah, I know that sleep is one of THE important things for staying healthy and losing fat, but I won't get so much of that today. I am going to crash for a few hours after I post this.
Weigh in results - Monday, February 4th, 2008
232.0 pounds. Body fat 39.5 %.
Up by 2.2 pounds? I can explain that in one all too familiar word. PIZZA.
Yeah, I watched the Superbowl and caved. It was a Greek Vegetarian pizza plus added chicken from Abby's Legendary Pizza. Very tasty... they really pile the veggies on that thin crust. (ingredients: Roasted Garlic, Black Olives, Red Bell Peppers, Onions, Sun-Dried Tomatoes, Feta Cheese, Spinach) So it's not all bad I suppose, but they don't post a nutrition menu, so I really have no idea how many calories are in this thing!
I ate HALF a large. I might not always do that, but I'd skipped a meal and was hungry. Gotta watch that. It's much easier to eat normal portions if I'm not hungry. Memo to self... don't skip meals!
We got a lot of snow yesterday... so my hilly street is not going to be fun to drive on even though temps are going above freezing today supposedly. I need studded tires to cope with my slippery slope. (Wish they had them for my eating slope!) With that and the lack of sleep, I don't think I'm going to make my noon water exercise class. So I'll have to try for a session on my Nordic Track cross country ski machine later.
And when I do wake up, meals on schedule, back on track! If there is one thing I've learned, it's to jump back on soonest after a fall. I hate seeing progress go backwards, ugh!
But hey, I burnt energy typing all night in my new blog excitement! Now to sleep if I can settle down!

Hey Cynthia,
I like your site !!! Way to go on your big weight
loss since October !!! Keep it up & do start eating
breakfast..........eat like a king at breakfast, a prince at lunch & a pauper in the evening. Try to
get into a habit of getting at least 7 hours of sleep
each evening. I know you can do this........it's not
a diet, just healthier eating habits.
Love ya, Tricia :)
Hey Tricia!
When I do get my breakfast in on time, it's a good hearty one! You should see how many veggies I can stuff into an omelet! Well, when we get more sun around here, I may take some pictures.
There's a virtual kitty hidden behind the open/close link in the upper right corner of the home page... just added him. He purrs when you pet his chest with your mouse pointer and meows when you pet his head, LOL! Couldn't resist!
